Welcome to 4th
Grade!
My name is
Katja Rimmele and I am in my third year of teaching at Purdy
Elementary. Your child will be in my classroom for the next two
years, and will leave our class ready to succeed in Middle
School.
I have lived in Washington for over eight years, but was born and
raised in Germany. After receiving a Bachelors in Business, I
continued on to receive my teaching credentials from Saint Martins
University. Most recently, I received my Masters degree from Walden
University. I am currently working on
Professiona Certification, a requirement for new teachers. My
ultimate goal is to become nationally certified. Can you tell that
I strongly believe in lifelong learning?
Teaching continues to be my passion. You will usually find me in
the classroom long before the first bell rings until late at night.
There alwasys seems to be something else to do. I work hard on
making our classroom a positive and safe environment. I believe
that all students are capable of learning and that, when they are
given the right tools, all students can succeed. Good relationships
between parents, students, and myself are the key elements to this
success.
I hope you visit our website often, as I will attempt to update it
frequently. You will be able to find important anncouncements,
classroom documents, and weekly homework, along with other helpful
resources. If you are looking for more, please let me know.
For those of you who I have already met, it was a pleasure and I
look forward to working with you. I certainly hope that the rest of
us can connect at Open House or any other time. Please know that I
am always available and that our class loves extra help in the
classroom. You are always welcome.
Here is to a successful beginning of the year!
Our classroom goal: Learn Every Minute of Every
Day!!!
