This page will tell you the topics we're studying in class. Under the Homework Tab will be futher details including more specific lessons and any homework due. 8th Grade Parents: Look under the announcements tab for high school registration! :) This website is for students and parents. I can't stress enough how benefiting it is to have students use this online resource to check for homework and print off documents that may have not made it home. It's also a great place for parents to stay connected with the classroom and to help their children stay on top of their studies and homework.  EVERY DAY REQUIREMENTS FOR EVERY PERIOD: 1. Planners are needed every day. Not only for recording homework, but also to record what we've done for the day, and any notes from teacher to home and vis-versa. They are also the child's only bathroom pass. 2. A pencil and pen are needed each period. The students have been given their own personal cardboard file-holder to keep a spiral notebook and folder, but also a great place to keep a pencil and pen waiting for them in each period. 3. Students will have a daily yellow progress sheet that helps monitor how the child is behaving, if they are on task, etc. It gets filled out every day, and raffle tickets are awarded on Fridays. 4. A good attitude. Every one experiences a bad day, but walking into my classroom unmotivated and not willing to try will only make it that much worse on themselves, me, and other students. |
