English 9 Honors
This course focuses on the concept of coming of age and a
traditional genre study which includes units on short stories,
poetry, drama, nonfiction, and a
novel.
German 1
This course is an introduction to
basic German vocabulary, grammar, and culture. The focus in
on building vocabulary; mastering grammar concepts; and developing
listening, reading, and speaking skills.
German
2
The course reviews the
material and skills learned in German 1 and then moves on to more
complex grammar concepts and longer, more difficult reading
passages. We continue to build vocabulary and grammar
knowledge and to develop listening, reading, and speaking
skills.
German
3
German 3 students will master the most
complex grammatical concepts and engage in reading of authentic
German texts. Their listening, reading, and speaking skills
will be honed. Students who successfully complete this
class should be ready for second-year college
German.
