Current Units of
Study
- MATH-In math
we are finishing our unit on multiplication and division. For
success, keep practicing multiplication facts and the process of
long division.
- Reading-During reading we are
working on character development and recognizing features of
non-fiction text. I encourage the students to use these strategies
in their daily reading. We are also working on reaching our reading
goals. Our next goal period ends December
19th.
- Writing-In writing we are
continuing our discussion and analysis of conventions (capitals,
usage, punctuation, and spelling). Our saying is "Are my CUPS
empty?" Ask your child to explain this
technique.
- Social
Studies-We are
finishing our unit of study on Native Americans of the Pacific
Northwest and our study of Salmon. We will begin a new until in
January.
